Elon Musk Leaves California (Again) Due to State’s Landmark Transgender Bill

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and owner of SpaceX, is relocating thousands of jobs out of California in reaction to a newly signed transgender law. The law, AB 1955, aims to protect transgender students from being outed to their parents without consent, sparking cheers from LGBTQ activists but backlash from Musk. Musk, who has a transgender child, called the law "the final straw." As a result, the Chino Valley Unified School District has filed a lawsuit, claiming the law infringes on parents' rights. The debate continues around the parental notification policies being adopted or considered by various school districts in California.
