Fresno Hairdresser and His Actress Girlfriend Dosed Malibu Doctor, Watched Him Die

Anthony Flores, a Fresno hairdresser, was sentenced to 16 years for dosing a mentally ill Malibu doctor with LSD and magic mushrooms to steal his mansion and loot $2.7 million from his accounts. Flores, alongside his girlfriend Anna Rene Moore, manipulated Dr. Mark Sawusch into handing over control of his finances, causing his death in the process. Flores watched the victim's agony via security cameras and used his money to live lavishly with Moore. Flores and Moore claimed they had a close relationship with Sawusch, but they exploited him severely. The court found them guilty after uncovering their grift, manipulating Sawusch into signing over his assets, and extracting vast sums even in his final distress. Flores pleaded guilty to multiple felonies, whereas Moore's sentencing is upcoming.
