Harvey Weinstein Won't Face Charges in U.K.

Harvey Weinstein will not face sexual assault charges in the United Kingdom for an alleged incident in London in 1996. The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) determined there was insufficient evidence to continue the case brought against the Hollywood producer. British prosecutors had initially charged Weinstein in 2022, accusing him of assaulting a woman in her 50s back in 1996. Weinstein's legal battles are far from over. Despite the dropped UK charges, Weinstein, 72, faces the possibility of a new trial in New York City after his 2020 sex crimes conviction was overturned. New witnesses have come forward with allegations, keeping the former movie mogul entangled in ongoing legal troubles.
