Mother of Slain "General Hospital" Star Shot Dead Wants Answers From Mayor Karen Bass

Supporters of Johnny Wactor, the 37-year-old "General Hospital" actor shot dead during a catalytic converter theft in May, are organizing a rally outside City Hall on Tuesday at 10 a.m. This comes two months after the LAPD released photos of the suspected killers. Wactor's mother and friend Micah Parker are seeking answers from Mayor Karen Bass on the increasing crime rates that led to his death. The tragic event unfolded on May 25, when Wactor was shot while protecting a coworker. LAPD noted the suspect has distinctive tattoos, and the getaway car was a stolen 2018 black Infinity Q50. Wactor's supporters, along with Councilman Kevin De León, are holding a press conference to highlight the urgent need for public safety measures.
