StubHub Agrees to Pay Californians $20M for Refund Issues

StubHub has agreed to a $20 million settlement with California, resolving accusations that the company failed to honor its refund policies during the COVID-19 pandemic. The settlement was approved by the Los Angeles Superior Court and affects over 45,000 Californians who were caught by surprise when StubHub offered a 120% credit instead of a cash refund. California Attorney General Rob Bonta led the charge against StubHub, accusing the ticket reseller of false advertising and unfair competition. This settlement not only compensates affected consumers but also sets a new standard for ticket sales in California.
