Beloved LAPD Sergeant Killed in 405 Freeway Crash While Aiding Motorist
LAPD Sgt. Shiou Deng, a 26-year veteran known for his work with L.A.’s most vulnerable, was struck and killed early Monday while helping at the scene of a crash on the 405 Freeway. Another motorist also died in the collision. LAPD officials and city leaders are mourning the tragic loss of a deeply respected officer.
