L.A. Councilmember Curren Price Faces New Corruption Charges
Los Angeles City Councilmember Curren Price is facing additional corruption charges, accused of steering millions in government contracts to agencies that paid his wife more than $800,000. Prosecutors allege conflicts of interest involving L.A. Metro, the Housing Authority, and a nonprofit linked to Price, with potential penalties of over 11 years in custody. Price, who has pleaded not guilty to earlier charges, is set to appear in court Thursday.

Fire Closes Evan Funke’s Beverly Hills Hotspot
Michelin-starred chef Evan Funke has temporarily closed his celebrity-favorite Beverly Hills trattoria after a fire broke out in the restaurant’s exhaust system. While the cause remains under investigation, all guests and staff were evacuated safely thanks to quick action by the Beverly Hills Fire Department. Funke says existing reservations will be honored at his other acclaimed restaurants, Mother Wolf and Felix Trattoria.
