Defense Seeks to Seal Evidence in Charlie Kirk Murder Case

Attorneys for Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old accused of assassinating Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, are asking a judge to close portions of an upcoming preliminary hearing and keep certain evidence out of public view. Prosecutors say they plan to present Discord messages, graphic videos, alleged confessions, and testimony from Robinson’s romantic partner as part of the case. The defense argues releasing some material before trial could prejudice future jurors, while prosecutors say the request is too broad. Robinson faces the death penalty if convicted.

How PS Became L.A.’s Most Luxurious Airport Secret

For travelers willing to splurge, PS offers a completely different way to fly out of LAX. The private terminal experience includes valet arrival, private TSA screening, chef-prepared meals, luxury suites, spa amenities and BMW rides directly to commercial aircraft on the tarmac. Originally launched in Los Angeles in 2017, the company is now expanding to Dallas and Miami this summer, with Paris planned for 2027.

Mark Fuhrman, Controversial O.J. Simpson Detective, Dies at 74

Former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman, whose role in the O.J. Simpson murder trial became one of the most controversial chapters in modern legal history, has died at 74. Fuhrman helped investigate the 1994 killings of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman and famously discovered the bloody glove prosecutors tied to Simpson. But his credibility later unraveled after racist remarks surfaced on tape and questions emerged about his testimony and conduct during the case. Fuhrman later pleaded no contest to a felony perjury charge tied to the trial.

California Dad Pleads Guilty to Incest After Teen Daughter’s Death

A Ventura County man accused of sexually assaulting his 18-year-old biological daughter after giving her alcohol pleaded guilty Tuesday to felony incest and providing alcohol to a minor. Prosecutors say Stephen Chavez abused a position of trust when Makayla Settles moved from North Carolina to California to live with him in 2025. Months after the assault, Settles died by suicide. The plea deal, which carries a maximum sentence of three years in prison and sex offender registration requirements, has sparked outrage from the victim’s family, who say prosecutors should have pursued rape charges.
