Former LAFD Chief Kristin Crowley Sues City, Mayor Karen Bass

Kristin Crowley, the first woman to lead the Los Angeles Fire Department, has filed a lawsuit against the city and Mayor Karen Bass, alleging she was unlawfully retaliated against after speaking publicly about budget cuts and fire department staffing concerns following the deadly Palisades fire. Downtown LA’s Graffiti Towers Near $470 Million Sale After Years of Delays

A $470 million bid has emerged for Oceanwide Plaza, the long-stalled three-tower complex in Downtown Los Angeles known as the “graffiti towers.” The unfinished project has sat vacant since 2019 amid bankruptcy proceedings, safety concerns, and viral images of its graffiti-covered exterior. Now, a partnership led by developer Kali P. Chaudhuri has filed an offer in federal bankruptcy court that could clear the way for new ownership, removal of the graffiti, and a long-awaited restart of construction if no higher bids surface.

Guthrie Family Offers $1 Million Reward as Search for Nancy Guthrie Grows More Urgent

The family of missing grandmother Nancy Guthrie has announced a private $1 million reward for information that could lead to finding her, as Savannah Guthrie shared in a new video that the search may now focus on recovering her mother’s remains. The family is also donating $500,000 to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children while investigators from the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department continue to pursue leads.

SoFi Stadium Contractor Fired After ICE Threat at Los Bukis Concert

A contracted SoFi Stadium employee was fired after a video captured her threatening to call Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Latino attendees during the Feb. 20 Los Bukis concert. The incident, which sparked immediate backlash from nearby concertgoers, was confirmed by Hollywood Park, which said the worker was employed by a third party and will no longer work at the venue.

Robert Carradine, ‘Revenge of the Nerds’ and ‘Lizzie McGuire’ Star, Dies at 71

Robert Carradine, the veteran actor best known for his role as Lewis Skolnick in Revenge of the Nerds and as Sam McGuire on Lizzie McGuire, has died at 71. His family said Carradine, a member of the famed Hollywood acting dynasty, lived with bipolar disorder for more than two decades and died by suicide. In sharing his story, relatives expressed hope that it would help reduce stigma around mental illness and encourage compassion and openness. Carradine’s decades-long career in film and television left a lasting impression on generations of fans, who continue to remember his warmth, humor and enduring screen presence.
