Nearly ten years after fatally shooting unarmed 29-year-old Brendon Glenn outside the Townhouse bar in Venice, former LAPD officer Clifford Proctor has been arrested at LAX after years on the run. The 2015 killing—caught on surveillance video and ruled “not justified” by the Los Angeles Police Commission—ignited a bitter clash between then–Police Chief Charlie Beck and former DA Jackie Lacey, who declined to file charges. Proctor fled the country following a later domestic violence arrest and was finally charged in 2024 by DA George Gascón.

Thirteen people were taken into custody as rumors and videos of the supposed “raid” spread rapidly across social media.

The decision, announced via Truth Social, has reignited debate over loyalty, ethics, and the limits of presidential clemency within Republican ranks.
