Fed Up Neighbors Tip LAPD to Gambling, Drug Den in South L.A.

Fed-up neighbors in South Los Angeles tipped off the LAPD about illegal activities at a local strip mall, leading to the arrest of 22 individuals. The raid uncovered gambling machines, narcotics, and firearms, highlighting a larger criminal operation. Officers from multiple LAPD units collaborated in this successful effort, responding decisively to community concerns. Suspects charged range from illegal gambling to narcotics and firearms offenses. Among those arrested were Rafael Casanova, Dunia Perdomo-Martinez, and Mayra Serrano for gambling-related crimes. Meanwhile, Noe Cabrera and Carolyn Serrano faced charges for narcotics possession.
