L.A. Jury Awards $3.5M to George Floyd Protester Injured by Rubber Bullet

A Los Angeles Superior Court jury has awarded $3.5 million to Cellin Gluck, a protester struck in the face by a rubber bullet during a 2020 George Floyd demonstration in the Fairfax District. His daughter, who witnessed the incident, received $300,000 for emotional distress. The verdict comes after years of legal battles over the county’s handling of protest tactics and the lasting injuries inflicted.
