Andy Dick Revived After Apparent Overdose on Hollywood Steps
Comedian Andy Dick was found unresponsive on a set of Hollywood steps Tuesday before bystanders revived him with the opioid reversal drug Narcan. Authorities say the 59 year old refused hospital transport after regaining consciousness and offered no details about what led to the collapse. Witnesses described a chaotic scene captured on video, showing Dick slumped on the stairs with his glasses nearby. Known for past struggles with addiction and multiple rehab attempts, Dick later told TMZ he was alive and OK.
Former Abercrombie CEO Mike Jeffries Ruled Fit to Stand Trial
Federal prison officials now say former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries is competent to stand trial on federal sex trafficking charges, reversing earlier medical findings that deemed him unfit due to dementia. Jeffries, 81, was released from a federal medical facility in November, but his attorney disputes the new assessment and maintains he cannot assist in his defense. Suspect in Jets Player Kris Boyd Shooting Arraigned and Held at Rikers Intake
A 20-year-old Bronx man, Frederick Green, has been charged with attempted murder, assault and weapons possession in the November shooting of New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd. Prosecutors say Green fled the city, cut off his dreadlocks and tried to escape out a window before he was captured in upstate New York. He is now being held without bail at Rikers Island’s Eric M. Taylor Center and may later be moved to a higher security unit due to the nature of the case. Boyd, who was shot in the abdomen after an altercation outside a Midtown restaurant, is recovering as the case returns to court later this week.
