Jimmy Kimmel Set to Return After ABC Suspension

Less than a week after being suspended, Jimmy Kimmel will return to late-night on Tuesday, ABC announced. The decision comes after days of political backlash, union pushback, and tense negotiations, following the host’s controversial remarks about the suspect in a high-profile shooting. While Disney executives confirmed his reinstatement, some affiliates remain reluctant to air the show, raising questions about the scope of his comeback.

Herbert, Dicker Seal Win as Chargers Open 3-0 for First Time in 22 Years

The Los Angeles Chargers stayed perfect with a 23-20 victory over the Denver Broncos at SoFi Stadium, their best start since 2002. Justin Herbert threw for 300 yards and orchestrated a late drive that set up kicker Cameron Dicker’s 43-yard field goal as time expired. Operation Liberty Launches to Monitor ICE in Los Angeles

The Save America Movement has rolled out “Operation Liberty,” deploying three Liberty vans equipped with trained crews of volunteers—including lawyers, clergy, veterans, and videographers—to monitor ICE operations across Los Angeles. At a rally in MacArthur Park, Mayor Karen Bass praised the effort as a show of solidarity with immigrant families. The initiative coincided with Governor Gavin Newsom signing new accountability laws, including measures to protect schools from unannounced immigration enforcement.

Genghis Cohen Reignites Fairfax with New Location and Fiery Flair

After more than four decades at its original Fairfax address, iconic NYC-style Chinese restaurant Genghis Cohen is back with a new space just a half mile away. Reopening Sept. 25, the refreshed spot features its signature red booths, silk dragon lanterns, and beloved dishes alongside new menu items and cocktails—including a Dole Whip-inspired frozen drink. Though the music venue is gone, live performances will continue next door at Canter’s Kibitz Room, keeping the legacy alive in true L.A. style.
