2028 Olympic Closing Ceremony Returns to the Historic LA Memorial Coliseum

The 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games will conclude where the city’s Olympic story first began — at the iconic LA Memorial Coliseum. The City Council voted unanimously to move the Closing Ceremony exclusively to the Coliseum, dropping earlier plans to split events with SoFi Stadium. The decision not only honors L.A.’s Olympic legacy, which dates back to 1932 and 1984, but also streamlines logistics and reduces costs for the final celebration of the Games.
