After nearly closing last year due to safety concerns around MacArthur Park, the iconic Langer’s Deli says it will remain open through the 2028 Olympics and beyond. Owner Norm Langer credits improved lighting, policing, sanitation and outreach efforts for transforming the area and giving the 78-year-old Los Angeles institution a renewed future. The longtime home of LA’s most celebrated pastrami sandwich is now preparing to welcome visitors during some of the city’s biggest upcoming events.

Rams Honor Veterans with Adaptive Wheelchair Football Practice and Youth Clinic
The LA Rams teamed up with The Hartford and Angel City Sports this Veterans Day to celebrate service members with an adaptive wheelchair football practice and a lively youth sports clinic at the team’s Woodland Hills facility. Veterans from the Rams Wheelchair Football Team received custom sports wheelchairs, young athletes trained alongside players and coaches, and Rams stars including Kyren Williams stopped by to join the fun. The event highlighted the power of inclusion, teamwork and community while honoring those who have served.
Trump Administration Signals Major Change as SNAP Users May Need to Reapply
The Trump administration is considering requiring all SNAP participants to reapply for their benefits in a broad effort to reduce fraud and cut program spending. Disney and YouTube TV have finalized a multi-year distribution agreement that restores ABC, ESPN, FX, NatGeo and all other Disney networks after weeks of blackout. The deal expands YouTube TV’s offerings with new channel packages, optional Disney+ and Hulu bundles and access to ESPN Unlimited at no extra cost. The community, former players, and local leaders are grieving the loss of a coach whose impact stretched far beyond football. Authorities have arrested a suspect, though no motive has been released.
