The Your Friends & Neighbors star opens up about her luminal B breast cancer diagnosis, five surgeries, motherhood with John Mulaney and the decision to return to acting after nearly stepping away. In a candid conversation, Munn reflects on childhood trauma, activism, survival and how vulnerability has become her greatest strength.

New FBI Files Revive Questions About Alleged California 9/11 Cover-Up

Nearly 25 years after 9/11, newly declassified FBI evidence is reshaping a landmark civil lawsuit alleging that a Saudi-backed support network operated in Los Angeles and San Diego before the attacks. Court filings cite a reputed Saudi intelligence operative, a radical imam tied to the Saudi consulate, and an FBI informant who housed two future hijackers. A federal judge has allowed the case against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to move forward, intensifying long-simmering questions about what U.S. officials knew and why critical evidence was kept from public view for decades.

Original Pantry Cafe to Reopen in Downtown L.A. With a Second Chance

Downtown Los Angeles’ beloved Original Pantry Cafe is set to reopen this spring in partnership with Hope the Mission, marking a new chapter for the nearly century-old landmark. After closing last year amid labor and real estate turmoil, the 1924 diner will return with updated touches, a refreshed menu and a philanthropic model that directs profits toward local homeless shelters and job training programs. Former employees are coming back, new hires may include formerly unhoused Angelenos, and the goal is to eventually restore its iconic 24-hour service.

What’s Next for the Old Amoeba Music Building

The former Amoeba Music space on Sunset Boulevard is getting a dramatic second act. New York-based Bathhouse plans to transform the iconic Hollywood building into its largest location yet, an 85,000 square foot indoor-outdoor wellness hub complete with thermal pools, saunas for up to 250 people and a sprawling 30,000 square foot rooftop with sweeping views. Slated to open in 2028, the project aims to turn the former music landmark into a social wellness destination rooted in community and connection.

Court Error Leaves 464,000 L.A. Criminal Cases Unreported for Decades

A decades-old system failure in Los Angeles County left roughly 464,000 arrest disposition reports unreported to the California Department of Justice, affecting an estimated 380,000 people whose criminal records were incomplete or inaccurate. The cases, spanning from 1965 to 2023, include more than 147,000 felonies and 233,000 misdemeanors, along with thousands of dismissals. Officials say the backlog is now being processed and updated records could impact background checks, employment and potential eligibility for expungement or resentencing relief.
