Menendez Brothers' Family and Rosie O'Donnell Will Rally for Their Release in L.A. Wednesday
Relatives of Erik and Lyle Menendez, joined by Rosie O'Donnell and their defense team, will rally outside the Superior Courthouse in LA, advocating for the brothers' resentencing. The brothers have been in prison for nearly 35 years for the murder of their parents in 1989. The event coincides with the renewed public interest following the Netflix series "Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story." The rally emerges in response to new evidence suggesting the brothers were subject to years of abuse by their father, Jose Menendez. This includes a letter from Erik describing the abuse, which could impact their conviction. Los Angeles DA George Gascón is reviewing the evidence, with a decision due by November 29 on their current first-degree murder charges.
