After 18 days aiding in search-and-recovery efforts following one of the deadliest flash floods in U.S. history, the L.A. County Fire Department’s K-9 team is back home. Investigators are still working to determine his exact motive.

Sydney Sweeney’s American Eagle Ad Sparks Controversy Over Messaging and Imagery

American Eagle’s new campaign featuring Sydney Sweeney is drawing major backlash for its tagline “great jeans”—a pun many say echoes eugenics—and for its hypersexual imagery tied to a domestic violence charity effort. Critics are calling the ad tone-deaf, performative, and even reminiscent of 1980s-era marketing missteps. AE defends the campaign as bold and humorous, but many online aren’t laughing.
