Suspect Arrested After Gunfire at Rihanna’s Los Angeles Home
Police arrested a Florida woman after she allegedly fired multiple rounds at Rihanna’s Beverly Crest home Sunday afternoon while the singer was reportedly inside with her children. Authorities say the suspect fired between seven and nine shots from a vehicle, striking the front gate and exterior of the property before fleeing. She was later taken into custody and booked on suspicion of attempted murder, with bail set at more than $10 million. Investigators are also examining social media posts that appear to show the suspect taunting the global pop star weeks before the shooting.

LAX Weighs 140% Rideshare Fee Increase for Uber and Lyft
Travelers using Uber, Lyft and other rideshare services at Los Angeles International Airport could soon face significantly higher fees. Airport commissioners are set to vote on a proposal that would raise the base access fee to $6 immediately and potentially as high as $12 for curbside pickups once the airport’s long-delayed Automated People Mover opens later this year. Officials say the increase would help reduce traffic and fund improvements at LAX, while rideshare companies argue the move would unfairly burden drivers and passengers.

The team also added former Chiefs cornerback Jaylen Watson on a three-year, $51 million deal as part of a broader push to strengthen the defense alongside safeties Kam Curl and Quentin Lake.
California Rejects DOJ Settlement and Pushes Forward With Live Nation Lawsuit
California Attorney General Rob Bonta and a bipartisan coalition of state attorneys general are pressing ahead with an antitrust lawsuit against Live Nation after rejecting a settlement proposed by the U.S. Department of Justice. The case centers on allegations that the company has inflated ticket prices, pressured venues into exclusive agreements and forced artists to use its services. The coalition says continuing the legal fight is necessary to secure stronger protections for consumers and restore competition in the concert marketplace.
