Trump Extends TikTok Ban By 75 Days Allowing Potential Buyers More Time
President Trump has extended the deadline for TikTok to secure a non-Chinese buyer by 75 days, citing ongoing negotiations. Under a 2024 bill, ByteDance must divest the app or face a ban due to national security concerns. While discussions with potential buyers like Elon Musk and MrBeast are underway, no deal has been finalized. TikTok has thanked Trump for ensuring no penalties for U.S. service providers during the extension, and both sides hope to reach an agreement soon.
