Educator Dragged from Idaho Town Hall on Orders of Ex-L.A. Sheriff’s Deputy Collecting $150K+ in Disability
A town hall in Coeur d'Alene escalated when Teresa Borrenpohl was forcibly removed by plainclothes security after speaking out against a legislator. Ex-L.A. Sheriff's deputy Bob Norris, now Kootenai County Sheriff, initiated the removal, grabbing her arm before telling security, "Guys, get her." according to Borrenpohl. Widely circulated video shows Borrenpohl being dragged across the floor, losing a shoe as her shirt nearly came off. This incident raises serious questions about the use of force and free speech in public forums. Records reveal Norris receives $150,282 in annual disability payments from Los Angeles County, part of a $186,675 package he previously denied. Public scrutiny has intensified, questioning how an active sheriff collects substantial disability benefits while physically confronting citizens. The debate extends beyond Borrenpohl's case, highlighting a pattern of controversies during Norris's tenure, including pepper spray threats during traffic stops and unauthorized removal of library books.
