The operation includes support from the FBI and DEA, marking a noticeable escalation in federal activity, a move unseen since Trump's presidential campaigns. The operation will target individuals without legal status or those with pending removal orders, prompting collaboration between federal agencies in Southern California since late January. Although FBI involvement is confirmed, specifics remain undisclosed. Meanwhile, LA has seen rising protests against the potential deportations.
