Your daily update is here.
Good Afternoon! It’s Friday, Jan 17.
With a high of 60°, we will have mostly sunny skies in Los Angeles today.
With no rain in sight, Southern California's extremely dry conditions and gusty winds continue to increase the risk of wildfires. Please stay safe out there.
Los Angeles Magazine Hosts Fire Relief Pop-Up
Join Los Angeles Magazine and Sharky’s Woodfire Grill this weekend at Villa Marina Marketplace Mall in Marina del Rey for a Fire Relief Pop-Up event dedicated to assisting those affected by the recent wildfires. From January 18th to 19th, between 9 AM and 4 PM, impacted individuals can collect brand-new essentials such as Nike and Adidas sneakers, clothing, toys, and eyeglasses. The devastating wildfires in Santa Ana, Eaton, and Palisades have displaced 150,000 Angelenos. As containment efforts continue, with the Palisades Fire at 31% and Eaton at 65%, events like this offer much-needed support. Attendees must bring a bag and valid ID for collection.
