‘American Idol’ Producer and Husband Killed in Suspected Home Invasion
Robin Kaye, a longtime music supervisor for “American Idol,” and her husband, Thomas Deluca, were found fatally shot in their $4.5 million Encino home in what LAPD officials believe was a home invasion. The couple hadn’t been seen for days before police discovered their bodies during a welfare check. Kaye was a decorated figure in the industry, having worked on nearly 300 episodes of “Idol” and several other hit shows.

Downtown L.A.’s Iconic Mayan Theater to Close After Nearly a Century
After nearly 100 years as a cultural and nightlife staple, the Mayan Theater will close its doors this September. The landmark venue, known for its bold Mayan Revival architecture and storied history as a burlesque hub, Latino community gathering space, and backdrop for Hollywood productions, announced the end of its run after 35 years as a nightclub. Hollywood Agent’s Son Dies by Suicide Before Facing Triple Murder Trial
Samuel Haskell IV, the son of former William Morris agent Sam Haskell III, died by suicide in jail just days before his scheduled court appearance for the brutal 2023 murders of his wife and her parents. Prosecutors allege he dismembered the victims in the Tarzana home they shared and tried to dispose of their remains using hired day laborers.
