LA28 Unveils Full Schedule for 2028 Olympic Games

With three years to go, LA28 has released the first look at the competition schedule for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Games will feature approximately 15,000 athletes competing across 844 events in more than 400 sports—more than any previous Olympics. Highlights include the opening ceremony shared between the LA Memorial Coliseum and the 2028 Stadium, the first medal awarded at Venice Beach, and an innovative swap placing athletics in the first week and swimming in the second. The milestone also celebrates over one million enrollments in the PlayLA youth sports program.

SCE to Launch Compensation Program for Eaton Fire Victims

Doctor Who Supplied Fatal Ketamine to Matthew Perry Pleads Guilty

A Santa Monica physician has pleaded guilty to federal charges for supplying the ketamine that led to Matthew Perry’s fatal overdose in 2023. Dr. Salvador Plasencia admitted to conspiring with another doctor to illegally obtain and sell the drug to the “Friends” actor, even mocking him in text messages before his death. Several others, including Perry’s former sober companion and a woman dubbed the “Ketamine Queen,” have also been charged in the case.
